Ratibida columnaris. Mexican Hat is an annual native to the midwest, but now found throughout North America. It is recognized by its brown center cone surrounded by deep red petals, accented with a hint of yellow. Blooms from June to September and grows to 2-3 feet. Plant one lb. per acre.
